Keg Storage & Handling
Draught Beer should be treated as a food product whether it is or isn’t pasteurized. It’s important to store and handle it properly.
A few tips to help you maintain the highest quality and freshness:
Store in a refrigerated walk-in cooler or a refrigerated cabinet.
Stock rotation ensures fresh product. First keg in, first keg out is a good rule of thumb.
Kegs should be stored separately from food products. If your cooler is used to refrigerate draught and food products, do not store food near or on kegs.
Keg storage and dispensing areas should be kept clean to minimize any possibility of contaminating your draught products.
